After lots of player requests, Warzone’s Black Ops Royale is finally getting a Solos option. Expect it to go live on March 19 at 10 AM PT. Before you queue up alone, the developers have a blunt reminder: the mode was built for four-player squads, not lone wolves.

Why players wanted Solos

Black Ops Royale arrived with Season 2 Reloaded and gave Warzone a different feel inspired by Black Ops 4 Blackout. Fans liked the change, but they also raised issues early on. The map feels large for a 100-player match, guns can be hard to find at the start, and many players did not want to be forced into matches with random teammates when they did not have a full party.

What Raven said about Solos

Raven confirmed the Solos playlist and added this note: “This mode was originally designed and balanced to launch as a Quads experience. While we recognize the strong interest in a Solos option, please be aware that gameplay is not yet fully tuned for a single player experience.”

How Solos will feel different

  • Redeploy is limited: You spawn with a Redeploy Token that will automatically respawn you once, but you do not have teammates to bring you back using Redeploy Towers. Any deaths after that token is used will be final.
  • Early game is harsher: With 100 individual players instead of teams, the opening minutes may be more punishing, especially if several players land in the same spot.
  • Match flow may be uneven: Since the mode was tuned for squads, solo matches might feel off in pacing and balance until further tuning arrives.

When playing Solos makes sense

If you do not have a squad, Solos will be the straightforward way to complete secret Operator Orders such as Unbreakable and Finding Answers. It is also the only real option for players who prefer to go it alone.

In short, Solos is coming and it will work, but Quads remain the intended and smoother Black Ops Royale experience for now. If you jump in solo, bring patience and low expectations for perfect tuning.
