Haldin is one of nine outlaw bounties in Hernand, and he pays the most silver, 30. The catch is that his bounty does not show up like the others. You will need to meet a few conditions before you can even start the hunt.

How to unlock and capture Haldin in Crimson Desert

  1. Free Vilkom Outpost first. Haldin's bounty notice will not appear unless the Vilkom Outpost, where he hides, has been cleared of the Wolf Tracker bandits.
  2. Where the outpost is. The Vilkom Outpost sits northeast of Hernand Town, near the Hills of No Return. There are two fast travel points nearby, so activate at least one before you start the assault.
  3. How to clear the outpost. The outpost is well defended, with berserk melee enemies and plenty of rifle shooters. Try to avoid a straight-on brawl early in the game. Lure small groups out and handle them separately, or let roaming Hernand guard patrols engage the camp so you can pick off survivors and collect extra loot.
  4. Quick note: Some players reported encountering Haldin marked as unknown before finding his bounty poster, but that is rare. Expect to clear the outpost first, and come prepared.
  5. Find the bounty poster. After the outpost is liberated, Haldin's poster will appear somewhere around Hernand Town. In our playthrough, the poster was on a wooden pole near Bloomwood Ranch, just above the Nas River marker.
  6. Track the quest. Examine the poster in the world or from your inventory to add the bounty to your Journal. This places a map marker at the center of the Vilkom Outpost.
  7. Locate Haldin. Return to the outpost now held by Hernand troops and look for a suspicious dwarf disguised as one of them. Haldin sometimes slips out of the camp and roams outside the walls, so check the minimap for his icon if he is not where the marker points.
  8. Capture him alive. When you find Haldin he will not offer a serious fight. Chase and tackle him (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox), then hit him a few times until the bind prompt appears. Do not kill him outright, because bounties must be delivered alive for full reward.
  9. Turn him in. Deliver Haldin to the Hernand jail. The full reward is 30 silver plus some Contribution Points. If you kill him, you will receive only half the reward, so be careful with the finishing blows.

Final tip: If Haldin vanishes from the camp, widen your search to the area just outside the walls and use the minimap to track his icon. Patience and a quick tackle are all you need.
