Poll numbers keep sliding

Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen again, this time to 33%, according to a University of Massachusetts Amherst poll. That is the lowest level of his second term so far, because apparently there is always room for a little more discomfort in Washington.

The survey, conducted between March 20 and 25, found that 62% of Americans disapprove of the president. The latest figure is five points lower than in July 2025 and 11 points lower than last April.

What the poll shows

The UMass Amherst result adds to a run of weak numbers for Trump as he continues into his second term. The data does not suggest a dramatic mystery here. It suggests a familiar one: a president losing support, and the polls making it plain in the least subtle way possible.
