What to expect in Season 3

New operator and weapons

The season teaser points to a new lead operator named Javelin. Details are light, but narrative hints suggest Javelin may align with Mason and the JSOC, especially since the last lead operator, Victoria Atwood, was tied to The Guild. Like past leads, Javelin will likely feature in the Season 3 Battle Pass.

The reveal also shows a rifle that looks similar to the M27 from Black Ops 2. That could be a returning classic or a reworked variant. Expect additional seasonal weapons to join the pool as the season unfolds.

Multiplayer and limited-time modes

Multiplayer should receive new maps, including both original layouts and remasters. Limited-time modes are likely to appear as well to mix up the standard playlists.

Zombies and Endgame

Zombies players can look forward to new maps, enemy types, Wonder Weapons, and GobbleGums. For Endgame and co-op content, expect new skills, progression tracks, and world events that change how missions feel and reward progression.

Warzone changes and Black Ops Royale

Warzone is expected to see notable updates to Black Ops Royale. Anticipate weapon balance adjustments, map tweaks, and new mechanics. A return of the Plunder mode is a frequent request from players, and it looks likely to make a comeback as a more casual alternative to core battle modes.

Cosmetics and seasonal content

Across all modes, Season 3 should bring new weapon blueprints, camos, operator skins, cosmetics, and timed events tied to the Battle Pass and other seasonal systems.

Short version: mark April 2 on your calendar, finish your Season 2 grind, and get ready for Javelin plus a handful of new toys and map changes. If patterns hold, the main update will drop at 11am CT and roll out worldwide on that schedule.
