MK35 ISR unlock method in Black Ops 7 and Warzone
The MK35 ISR is one of the new weapons coming with Season 3 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and it already has the kind of stat profile that tends to attract “future meta” chatter before anyone has even fired a shot. According to Activision’s description, this full-auto assault rifle is built for players who like to control fights at medium to long range.
It also looks a lot like a modern take on the fan-favorite M27 from Black Ops 2, which is a nice way of saying the nostalgia department is doing some heavy lifting here.
What makes the MK35 ISR stand out
Activision says the MK35 ISR has the lowest recoil in its class while still keeping a fast fire rate. That combination should make it easy to stay on target during sustained gunfights, especially if your aim is steady and your patience is not a total myth.
A few other notes from the weapon description:
- It has clean iron sights, which leaves more room for attachment choices.
- It deals slightly less damage than some other assault rifles.
- Its handling is slower, so positioning and accuracy matter more than frantic movement.
Its Prestige Attachment, the 19” MFS Nightfall Suppressed Barrel, boosts the weapon further by extending effective damage range, keeping you off enemy radar while firing, and tightening hipfire spread.
How to unlock it
The main way to get the MK35 ISR is through the free tiers of the Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3 Battle Pass. Specifically, it is the High-Value Target (HVT) reward on Page 3.
To reach it, you’ll need to:
- Unlock the earlier pages first
- Spend Battle Pass tokens on the standard rewards on Page 3
- Complete enough progression to claim the HVT reward
You do not need the premium Battle Pass to unlock the base weapon. You do, however, need to earn it through progression, because apparently the universe still believes in a little effort.
Fastest way to unlock it
If you want the MK35 ISR early, the best approach is to maximize XP gain. That means focusing on:
- Daily and weekly challenges
- Objective-based modes in Multiplayer, such as Hardpoint and Domination
- Warzone contracts, which can help you stack progress more quickly
BlackCell and store bundle options
Players who buy the BlackCell Battle Pass upgrade have a shortcut available. It can instantly unlock Page 3, which gets you much closer to the MK35 ISR.
That said, there is also a reason to keep pushing forward: Page 12 includes the “Saku” weapon blueprint for the MK35 ISR.
A store bundle with a separate MK35 ISR blueprint may also arrive when the season launches. If you buy that, you’ll get instant access to the base weapon. Just remember that blueprint weapons come with preset attachments, so you’ll still need to level up the MK35 ISR itself to unlock its full attachment set.
MK35 ISR Prestige Camos
The MK35 ISR also comes with several Prestige Camos in Black Ops 7 and Warzone:
- Prestige 1: Heatmap
- Prestige 2: Groovy
- Prestige Max: Glitch, an animated camo
Like all Weapon Prestige Camos, these are universal, so you can apply them to other weapons as well.
Season 3 is shaping up to add more than just one assault rifle, so if you want the broader picture, the full roadmap should also spell out the new maps, weapons, and modes heading to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame.
