Another Overwatch comic, because of course there is
Overwatch is adding another comic series to its long list of transmedia storytelling experiments, this time on Webtoon. The new series, Overwatch: Undivided, follows the worldwide Talon assault and the team’s effort to regroup and respond to the threat. In other words, the heroes are once again having a very bad day.
Fans can expect more time with some of the game’s familiar characters, though the platform’s payment model comes with the usual catch. The first three issues are free, but later chapters will be locked behind Webtoon’s Fast Pass system.
A new hero trailer is coming soon
If you were waiting for the next hero reveal instead of the comic, Blizzard has that covered too. A new hero trailer will premiere on Wednesday, April 8, at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
That reveal will also continue the current Reign of Talon theme running through the season, so the smart money is on another villain-adjacent introduction. Blizzard has not said exactly who that hero will be, because apparently suspense remains a valued design choice.
