Warzone's Season 2 Reloaded just dropped and yes, the playground has been rearranged. Expect a handful of weapon changes, three new perks that actually sound useful, a new way to buy an Advanced UAV, and a price hike that will make you rethink your buy station habits.
Quick overview
This midseason update adds the Black Ops Royale mode and adjusts weapon balance across the board. If you were cruising with the REV-46 or the M8A1 AutoStrike-X8 build, you might want to stop cruising and start adapting.
Big weapon changes
Some guns got stronger, some got quieter, and a couple got put on a timeout.
- Buffs: The MXR-17 and Peacekeeper Mk1 received helpful improvements. MXR-17 now deals a bit more close-range damage, and the Peacekeeper has smoother recoil across multiple setups. SMGs like the Kogot-7 got faster fire rate, better ADS speed, and improved range. Razor 9mm saw a modest range bump. Carbon 57 benefits from better recoil control when using the K&S Compensator and the Goliath Steady Grip. The MK.78 LMG gained a small max-range damage increase plus tidier recoil and faster bullet velocity. Also, the XM325 Titan Wield now behaves as intended after a damage fix.
- Nerfs: The REV-46 took the biggest hit. Expect reduced range, worse recoil control, a lower headshot multiplier, and slower ADS speed. The M8A1 AutoStrike-X8 conversion now has higher recoil and lost its bullet velocity bonus. The M15 Mod 0 assault rifle had weakening applied to its Monolithic Suppressor and Control Stock. The SG-12 shotgun has increased ADS times and more spread while aiming in tactical stance.
Why this matters
If you were relying on long-range REV-46 laser shows, those days are ending. The buffs to MXR-17, Peacekeeper, and some SMGs open space for new loadouts, so start tinkering instead of crying into your attachment menu.
Perks: new toys for movement and mayhem
Season 2 Reloaded adds three perks to Battle Royale and Resurgence: Momentum, Berserker, and Hunter. Each replaces or merges older perks and caters to a different playstyle.
- Momentum replaces Alertness. It is built for fluid, close-quarters movement: fewer consecutive jump penalties, reduced slide fire delay, tighter hip-fire spread, faster ADS movement, and quicker crouch and prone transitions. In short, you move like a slippery shadow.
- Berserker replaces Bomb Squad. This one rewards aggression. After securing a takedown you get 30 percent faster speed when deploying equipment, swapping weapons, reloading, and putting on plates, plus extra flinch resistance and a clearer screen when low on health. Great for chaining fights without feeling like a potato.
- Hunter merges Tracker and Alertness. Hit an enemy and they get briefly outlined, their footprints stay visible for 10 seconds, you sense enemies within 30 meters, and you can detect when someone is aiming at you. It is the perk for people who enjoy stalking or being annoyingly informed about everyone’s positions.
Also, Ghost got a small but welcome tweak: its grace period before you are detectable is now 5 seconds, up from 1.5 seconds. That extra breathing room can definitely save you from getting third-partied while you awkwardly revive a teammate.
Buy Station changes: money matters more now
Buy Stations received a couple of important updates. You can now directly purchase an Advanced UAV for $40,000. Previously, setting one off meant wasting four regular UAVs at once or relying on weird RNG. If you have a vault of cash, this is an efficient shortcut.
Meanwhile, the Specialist perk package got pricier, now costing $35,000 instead of $30,000. The takeaway: stop being stingy about looting ground perks. Scavenge smart so you can save for essentials like Gas Masks, UAVs, and the occasional Advanced UAV purchase.
Wrap-up
Season 2 Reloaded is a midseason nudge to the meta. REV-46 users will need to pivot. A few rifles and SMGs might climb in popularity. The new perks reward mobility, aggression, and tracking, and the Buy Station updates change cash priorities. Tinker with loadouts, try the new perks, and maybe stop feeding the REV-46 its current confidence.
Play smart, adapt fast, and remember: change is the only constant in Warzone besides salty teammates.
