New faces at the resort

HBO announced on Monday that Heather Graham, Frida Gustavsson, Rosie Perez, Tobias Santelmann, Ben Schnetzer and Laura Smet have joined the fourth season of Mike White’s The White Lotus.

That brings the number of announced cast members for the next installment to 24, up from the 18 names HBO had already put on the board. In a charmingly restrained update, the network also said casting is “still ongoing.” Because apparently even a fictional luxury hotel needs a waiting list.

Season 4 will be filmed in France and will follow another fresh batch of wealthy vacationers during a weeklong getaway. The series, of course, has never been especially interested in keeping those vacations peaceful.

The rest of the lineup

The earlier announced cast already included Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Max Greenfield, Charlie Hall, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, Jarrad Paul and Nadia Tereszkiewicz.

White is once again writing and directing the season. He created the series himself and is executive producing alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.

White had previously said he wanted to move away from the “crashing waves” settings that shaped the first three seasons, so France is now getting its turn to host the show’s signature combination of glamour, social discomfort and, usually, at least one fatal consequence.

Graham is repped by Risa Shapiro at RMS Productions, Paradigm, and Morris Yorn, Levine, Barnes, Krintzman, Rubenstein, Kohner, Endlich, Goodell & Gellman.

Perez is repped by Innovative, Strand Entertainment, Meyer and Down, and Vision PR.

Gustavsson is repped by Actors in Scandinavia and Hamilton Hodell.

Santelmann is repped by Salomonsson Agency and United Talent Agency.

Schnetzer is repped by Gersh, David Weber and Lon Sorenson.

Smet is repped by Time Art.
